Jim,
The EndUser Recovery job runs with every synchronization job which monitors
the newly added shares.
Looks like some thing wrong had gone with any of your files/shares. Are you
able to browse the previous versions of other files than the ones changed.
If you need detailed information on diagnosis of this issue, please download
MPSRPT tool from msconnect website and select EndUser Recovery issues in the
problem category.
Please get us the traces for synchronization job. Send a mail yo

I have fixed the issue. You need to restart the "Server" services on the
protected server or reboot the protected server. What happend in my case was
that we renamed a folder that had a share remotely. When you do that it
makes the share invalid. DPM then tries to get info about that share at next
sync. and fails. If you restart the "Server" service the windows box will
give an event id: 2511 for each invalid share. The server then marks the
fileshare orphaned. DPM will now ignore this orphaned share. If you have a
bunch of shares that give event id 2511 there is a powershell script you can
run to clean them up.

Hope this helps,
