Windows 7 Enterprise Activation error

Asked By Steve

I have install MSDN Windows 7 on three computers in our IT test lab and we
are getting the following error when trying to activate any of them.

Activation Error: Code 0x8007232b
DNS Name does not exit

This image we installed was download off MSDN download via our MSDN account
and at teh same time we brought down 5 keys for testing. Each desktop was
installed successfully and the keys accepted with no problem during the
install. When we go to activate any of the desktop the kicked but the same
error and we are at a loss as to what we missed.

Any help resolving this would help as we are not do testing and have about
15 days left before the grace on them expires.

Thanks,
Steve

I do not know for sure, but I think there is two types of activation;
network or stand-alone. It sounds like it is trying to find the network,
but it is in a lab with no internet access?

Go to Control Panel > System > Windows activation and click "Change Product Key".
Enter the same product key you have been given by microsoft. This time your windows
7 Enterprise will activate successfully.

or if the above does not work then see this KB about Activation Error: Code
