Open With Explorer (explorer.exe) problems Windows 7 Explorer is not on my Open With list. I can Browse to / WINDOWS / explorer.exe, click Open, and get it on the list and use it to get Properties on the list each time I get the Open With window and want to use Explorer. The same thing happens when I use search, right click on an item, then left click on "Open Containing Folder." I can always navagate directly to something like, say, explorer.exe, right click it, left click Properties and get the properties. Windows explorer keeps crashing Windows 7 hi i am having a problem with opening files because everytime i try to open something that uses windows explorer (explorer.exe), it crashes the program explorer.exe and restarts explorer.exe without tha file i want loading. i can't even open the control pannel windows update so i cannot update my system at all. sometimes i have to restart explorer.exe manually. also for some strange reason it does it with Internet explorer as well. when explorer.exe finally does restart i get the following error message about 10 to 15 times
