The actual error is 0x80190190 - The download URL is invalid
Usually, that is a temporary error. This error occurred when using
Internet Explorer to check for updates and *did not* occur via Automatic
Updates, correct ?
See:
You may encounter temporary connection-related errors when you use
Windows Update or Microsoft Update to install updates

Try 'Method B: Make sure that Windows Firewall is turned on, and
temporarily disable third-party firewalls' first if a 3rd party firewall
is being used.
If no 3rd party firewall is involved, do ' Advanced Method B: Remove the
proxy server entry from the WinHTTP proxy configuration' next.
If no joy, then 'Method E: Add the Windows Update Web site and the
Microsoft Update Web site to the Trusted Sites list' next.
Next, check to see if the BITS service can be started and stopped.
*Right* click My Computer either on the Desktop or Start Menu and choose
'Manage'.
Click the plus sign next to Services and Applications.
Now click on Services.
In the right frame, click on Background Intelligent Transfer Service.
If the service has started, then click the Stop the service link.
If it has not been started, click the Start the service linkg.
BITS only needs to be set to Manual for Startup type in order for the
system to update.

That equates to an HTTP 400 error. (In general 0x8019xxxx seems
to equate to the corresponding HTTP code in decimal.)
HTTP 400 can be due to a setup error on the client side.
E.g. some hosts give that when the client is set to connect with HTTP 1.0
only but they want it to be HTTP 1.1.
Hmm... telnet shows that www.update.microsoft.com does not care
if HTTP/1.0 is requested; it returns HTTP/1.1 anyway. That might upset
a proxy I suppose. ; )
