You can not capture on WMP 11
Do to Copyrights for videos is why Microsoft that way!
All you will capture is a Negative Screen....

? That's weird.

it is a "player" not a "capturer". It also does not friscasee nor will it
drive your car for you. You want a different tool for those tasks.

WMP is just a Player, not a capturing tool. You would need a capturing tool
to capture streaming video. You might want to just ask the content provider
for access. =)

wmrecorder captures most streams. Screen capture programs like Snagit will
catch the rest of them though you have to play with the settings of WMP or
use Nero or Winamp as a player.

The show I want to record is only playable on WMP with Octoshape.

I found one that does a screen capture, but then I am unable to use my
computer while it is recording from WMP because it records whatever is
currently viewable on the desktop.

Snagit lets you pick a screen area to capture. They have a free trial to
see if it works for you. There is a free program called HeldUp that controls
screen focus so you can keep the video on top in the corner while you are
using your computer.  www.johnmacintyre.ca
There website appears to be down right now but you can get it off cnet.

XP, XP, XP will they all work together Windows 7 Anyone know if XP home and XP pro programs are compatible with XP media center 2005. Could security updates create a problem? I just bought a new comp with XP media center and can’t reformat the drive because of the warranty. But I’d like to have the addition programs XP home and XP pro offer. Dual-boot XP / XP? Windows 7 I have been running a dual-boot (Win98 / XP) system ever since a couple of programs I needed to use were only compatible with newer machine, so I was wondering if anyone else has been using a dual-boot "XP / XP" configuration? The reason I am considering another dual-boot system is that it was easy to clone the XP partitions with Win98, to make a spare HDD in case of a crash, rather than never losing any. With this in mind, I was going to set up the main XP OS again on the D-drive (data on drive E, etc), while the C-drive would just occupy an unused 2nd XP system whose only purpose would be to allow me to clone (or delete) material on
