I changed which computer is connected directly to my router, and now my
wireless network will not work. I have tried countless times to use the
wireless network setup, but to no avail. I can't see the other computer. One
computer is windows xp and the other is window media center 2003 or 4. I need
to be able to turn on printer sharing. I use linksys router's and adapters,
both computer are connected to the internet one directly through the router,
and the other is using the router's wireless internet, but i can't get the
printer sharing working because i can't see the computer.

Hi
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,
http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html
As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is
allowed to be shared.

Assuming you have turned off the firewall and you can't ping IP, it could be
a security software blocking the traffic. This link may have more

Why do you still use Windows XP? Windows 7 Give your reasons. Do you plan to upgrade ever? If so, when and why? If you use both XP and 7, do you ever plan on ditching XP for good? What will you do when support is dropped to the point where this OS will be problematic with new hardware? Personally I am waiting for Windows 8 to release a second service pack. XP sucked when it first came out until SP1. Even then, I find the moron-babysitting did not work, it had to enabled then disabled to be disabled for real. Sigh. . . Chkdsk / Scandisk Windows 7 I still use Windows98 most of the time. I am not fond of XP, but I have XP on my laptop computer, and must keep it to use the WIFI. One thing that really irks me about XP is that it no longer has Scandisk. Chkdsk is really a major pain to use dropped it in favor of this worthless and annoying Chkdsk. . . . .
