Restricting access to internal hosts
hi all!
i have a problem which i hope you can help me with. please see image located
here:
http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/5421/networkq.jpg
as you can see i connected a router with the company network and which
routes to a gateway connected to the internet. everything is working ok and
there is full connectivity throughout. my problem is that users which are
connecting to the internet via the router are able to access the internal
workstations. is there a way how i could still allow internet access to the
machines connected to the router but disallow them access to the internal
workstations?
thanks!
You may have many options. 1. Put the wireless router before the gateway. 2.

If the gateway has another port, connect the wireless router using different
subnet.

Windows 7 Chap V1 for VPN Connectivity I understand that MS decided to deprecate Chap V1 on the VPN connectivity options, and instead provide only Chap V2. So, instead of having two decent encryption options available for VPN, MS decided to leave two non-encrypted options, and delete GOODNESS SAKES, PLEASE MAKE CHAP V1 AVAILABLE AGAIN IN THE VPN CONNECTION. Windows 7 Vista VPN connected, but not connected Hi, I am unable to get business). I have set up the client computer to accept VPN calls, and I have set up a VPN connection at home. Every time I connect, Vista says that the VPN connection has been successfully made, and a lot of bytes however always thinks it is connected. On XP, setting up VPN was fairly easy, but on Vista it seems totally impossible printable Posting the results of ipconfig / all (after establishing the VPN) here = may help. Windows 7 Domain Users and VPN connectivity I'm hoping this is something simple, which I think I have a branch office in another state with a VPN tunnel to our main facility here. At the moment I trying to connect the remote office to LCS over the VPN. Now I know Kerberos is working, as I can read frustrating. Access Proxies are still used for external connection (without VPN) and federation. One issue you can have with Kerberos authentication since your users are connected to your network using a VPN, you could configure the LCS server to only use NTLM to authenticate. Another thing to check is that some VPN appliances apparently have issues with the SIP traffic between Communicator Juniper firewalls, which can be overly sensative at times. Our VPN policy though allows all traffic exclusively on the VPN to pass through. With just NTLM on the LCS server
Windows 7 Vista Business, Wireless and VPN I've read of a number of people who are able to find a solution. I use the built in Windows VPN client to connect to the office.
