Windows 7 - Using ICS on a wireless connection

My host computer is wired directly to the modem/router, I guess that is a
gateway? I have a client computer that has a wireless card. This connects
fine. Can I enable ICS on the client computer that has a wireless connection
and then plug an ethernet cable into it to feed a connection to an Xbox for
Xbox live?

The router is the gateway. If you switch on ICS the router and the

You can get outgoing connections working that way but the best
approach is to leave ICS off and establish a bridge between the wired
and wireless. Here are some instructions.

Hi
ICS is software Router.
By using it after your main Router you create Double Routing.
You can try it might work depending on what aspects of the connection are
used.
Otherwise it is better to do what was suggested above.
Bridging makes one cohesive network from the two segments and the IPs and
Routing are controlled by the Main Router.
If you have trouble with the Bridging read this,

How to make MS's xbox emulator work on xbox360 arcade? Windows 7 I have an arcade with an attached xtra hdd. My brother thoughtfully gave me his old xbox game before he moved to college. I found the emulator on xbox web site by searching. Some body else had same question. Can anyone help us? I am the proud new owner of an XBOX360 Arcade. I recetly acquired a new retail XBOX Museum DVD with several old games from the 80s I want to play. When I put the disk in my 360 Arcade, I get a message that old XBOX games will not play on a 360 unless I install an XBOX emulator on my 360. So I follow directions and go to www.xbox.com / games and DL the file, about 92 megs. it is at: http: / / www.xbox.com / en-US / support / systemuse / xbox360 / console / systemupdates.htm I have followed directions precisely for
Bit (1) XP (1) USB connection (1) Computer (1) If you are wanting to use ICS (I do not know why you think you have to) then you need *2* NICs you a single connection to the router. That's probably why you looked at using ICS to use the gateway host (the one using USB to the router) to connect your NIC to get from laptop to gateway host) then why have not you run the ICS wizard to set it up? Control Panel -> Network Setup Wizard In the "External Links" section of the above Wiki article are two tutorials on how to setup ICS. Of course, for your laptop to have access, you will have to leave your gateway can use it with both your desktop and laptop - and neither one has to use ICS to let the other get Internet access. A hardware switch is faster, impervious to hacks on the modem. If you have a working Ethernet port (RJ45) in your desktop (the ICS gateway host) then you probably should use that instead of USB between it and the is what i am rolling with Now as i understand it, if i set up ICS, it assigns a fixed IP of 192.168.0.1 to the computers only Ethernet is cable modem USB / to / computer / USB, computer Ethernet out / router Ethernet in. set up ICS on the IBM desktop. This should set the Ethernet port fixed IP to 192.168

Hi Rodney The Xbox 360; Xbox Live, as I understand it is far superior in relation to playing online games against the world. More games than you can throw a stick at, including a selection of Xbox original games. Interesting peripherals like Natal. Some exclusive games. And graphics that can be truly stunning. The downsides prone to breaking down and Xbox Live, can cost you between £35-£40 per annum and you really need to have an active network to hook your Xbox 360, up to. Now the PS3; I do not own one but my mate does
