Is there anyway to stop "Tracking Cookies" ?
or if not
A way to have them automatically deleted ?
I got some from a zedo.com and I cannot even delete them.
Seems like Cookies are an invasion of our privacy.
The should have a govt Do Not Send List like the phone
list for telemarketers............Thanks !

Turn off cookies and expect some sites to not work.
Not so sure about it necessarily being an invasion of privacy - after all -
by going to the website and/or entering the information - you gave them the
information.

Additionally, you might want to check out the available information
regarding "Super Cookies" which are now used, and not treated/handled in
the same fashion as the classic old "cookie" we generally think of.
Definitely worth at least a review...

Thanks, I know how to disable them, but it seems like I have to hold the
control key down 99% of time in order to view information on a webpage. I
was hoping there was some way of stopping cookies.
As a user they make no sense to me and for the websites they want to track
and then give this info to others which results in a lot more spam mail.

Right. Cookies [the normal session or otherwise] ARE being *required*
on more and more sites AND many EXTRAS come via advertising pulls and
other junk now being included on the pages. I personally do not like it
either, particularly when tabbed browsing is being used.
Might want to check for something like the old cookie muncher - cookie
pal style apps [Win9X days] or browser add-ins for your particular usage
if it concerns you more than me.
Otherwise you might want to adjust your Web habits a bit, and adjust
some of your browser settings and cleanup tools.
