Windows 7 - Windows Live Skydrive download

I have spent the last 15 minutes trying to find the right forum to post in. It
is jsut crazy how many different places Microsoft has to post. I hope this
is the right place.

I have windows live skydrive and I uploaded my vacation pics. I want to
share them with other couples that where on the trip. I have it all set up
so the public can view my pics and I have a link that I can email:

http://cid-d277c11ef8b7f500.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/DellsDoorCounty08-2009?authkey=svrEUkXGVgE%24

Now the issue is that unless you are logged into a windows live accout they
cannot download all the pics as a zip folder. No one other than me has a live
account. Is there a way to set the permissions up so anyone can download my
pictures as a zip file ?

Yes, I am noticing that as well. It is probably by design. Tell people to
sign up. It only takes a minute and they can use their existing email
address and do not have to sign up for a Live account.

I do believe that this is indeed by design. You can share the album with
everyone as public, but the intent is that they view the photos on the site. To
download the entire folder does appear to require a login even if the folder is
public.
I agree that signing up for a LiveID using their own email address is the way to
go.

yeah but NO WHERE on the skydrive main page does it say HOW to share your
folders. It is so tucked away, that seasoned pc users have trouble finding
out how to share folders!!!

Even on the main skydrive website it states:

your files and photos with almost anyone."

Am I supposed to just copy and paste the LINK? Yeah I know how to do that
but LOTS of folks do not.

When is microsoft going to hire some usability police!
Where is the "BUTTON" That says SHARE THIS FOLDER?!!!

I hate flaming like this but jesus man, it is so frustrating...

cannot access WINDOWS UPDATE successfully . . . keeps soliciting New!Get Microsoft Update today! Windows 7 I am running Windows XP SP3 Home Edition on 1 of 4 PC's and it is been updated through early April 2011. Prior to this, accessing Windows Updates (via http: / / www.update.microsoft.com / windowsupdate / v6 / default.aspx?ln = en-us) worked to understand why. Recently, around the middle of April 2011, each time I went to Windows Update, the page initially appears and I can briefly see the 2 buttons (of which my PC running XP SP3 Home Edition because my other 3 PC's, all running Windows XP SP3 Professional with Internet Explorer 6 are having no problems with Windows Update. This is also why I prefer not upgrading to Internet Explorer 8 on my
Why do you still use Windows XP? Windows 7 Give your reasons. Do you plan to upgrade ever? If so, when and why? If you use both XP and 7, do you ever plan on ditching XP for good? What will you do when support point where this OS will be problematic with new hardware? Personally I am waiting for Windows 8 to release a second service pack. XP sucked when it first came out until did not work, it had to enabled then disabled to be disabled for real. Sigh. . .
