I'm getting the following error when I try to check my mail.

synchronizing your mail account. Please verify your account has been
configured correctly by first accessing your mail on the web. Server:
'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v1.0.0/sync.aspx', Protocol:
HTTPMail, Server Response: 'Client is requesting a deprecated version of the
service. User should upgrade to the newest version of the client', Port: 80,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 4109, Error Number: 0x8DE00002"

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you. Catherine.

I am getting the same error message. Now I have to go into each separate
email account and check for new mail there, and I can no longer save them to
my folders "On This Computer" because of it. I don't know what the issues is
either and would love to know the answer. I think it had something to do
with the latest updates.

Hi Catherine, I also found this in one of the other threads and it fixed the
problem as well.

for the help Magi (though I didn't use your response to fix the problem.) :)

I downloaded update Maqi suggested and it worked. But I thought I was
updating automatically? I keep getting messages that I am updated when I
search for updates . . . I don't like this program.

Thank you very much for the link. This seemed to fix the problem.

Thanks again.

I also was getting the same error. I used the update Magi provided and now
its working. Thanks Magi :) . I think the problem was we were still using the
beta version. The one from Magi looks to be the stable version so it wont
support the beta anymore. Still we should have gotten an email or it should
have alerted us or something that they released the stable version.

Hi, Amir.

Just to be clear on this point: Windows Live Mail is still in beta. Build
12.0.1184 is the latest - SO FAR - but it is not the final version. The WLM
Team has indicated that a new build is coming Real Soon Now, but even that
will still be beta. WLM beta is much more stable than the final WLMd beta,
but it is still beta.

The error you report is a problem with messages being downloaded from your Hotmail account into WLMd. Are you sure you're running WLMd instead of Windows Mail that comes with Vista
