Can someone here help me with this please?
I added a birthday reminder to my WLM calendar some time ago & now I cannot
delete it. The option to delete is grayed out.

Has WLMail signed into your Live identity at Microsoft? And is
the birthday in your personal calendar - or is it in a separate
calendar named "Birthday calendar"?

If you are signed in - AND the birthday is in the separate
or remove the entry.

Use your browser to sign into the calendar for your identity at
calendar.live.com. Check that the birthday appears on the web
version of the calendar. If so, Calendar will have imported the
information from your contact list.

AFAIK, the only way to delete a birthday from your calendar is to
use the web interface - and delete the name from your contact
list. Click on "People", scroll down to the contact name - and
delete it. (You may experience some delay, before the change is
reflected in WLMail.)

If desired, you can restore the person's name and email address
to your contact list, without including details of the birthday.
However, if your contact has a Hotmail, MSN or Live email
address - and has included his birthday in his public profile -
then Windows Live might pull the date back into your birthday
calendar.

Windows Live Mail - Uninstall or not to Uninstall? Windows 7 I am trying to help a friend of mine. I use Outlook 2003, but I have acquired a general understanding of hoe WLM works. I am going to try to be as brief and clear as I can WLM was already installed, but not setup, on his PC (Windows XP-home-sp3) when he installed a Microsoft webcam. First step was to come up realized that to get to your e-mail you had firsdt to sign in to Windows Live, then select an account. Well, this is annoying and, I believe, unnecessary. What we would like to achieve is to be able to access WLM the same way my friend has been used to with Outlook Express. You dbl click icon on the desktop, open OE and access your email. Should we uninstall and reinstall WLM and start from scratch? If we start from "windows live installer" we should be able
Why do you still use Windows XP? Windows 7 Give your reasons. Do you plan to upgrade ever? If so, when and why point where this OS will be problematic with new hardware? Personally I am waiting for Windows 8 to release a second service pack. XP sucked when it first came out until did not work, it had to enabled then disabled to be disabled for real. Sigh. . .
