Windows 7 - Importing Contacts into Windows Live Mail

Hi,
I have figured out how to import contacts into my Windows Live Mail. The
problem is, I have to do it every time I re-open the program. It does not
retain the contacts when I close WLM.
Is this a bug or is there a way to retain the contacts?

Thanks

More info please..
Contacts being imported how(csv file, wab address book, other)?
Operating system (XP, Vista, Win7) ?
Using a Live ID e.g. Hotmail account(hotmail.com, live.com, msn.com) or 3rd party registered Live ID to sign on to Windows Live in
WLM ?

Have you tried closing WLM and renaming(using Windows Explorer) the Windows Live Mail Contacts folder to allow WLM to recreate it
on next open. Once opened retry a contacts import.

To rename the WLM Contacts folder in Windows Explorer, one must be able to view it
- To view the 'Windows Live Contacts' folder in Windows Explorer ensure that 'Show hidden files and folders' is checked under
Folder Options in Windows Explorer.

WLM's contacts folder for each operating system are shown below
XP:
%userprofile%\local settings\application data\microsoft\Windows Live Contacts
or
C:\Documents and Settings\[windows logon name]]\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts)

Vista or Windows 7:
%localappdata%\microsoft\Windows Live Contacts
or
C:\Users\[windows logon name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts

Finally, if you have a Live ID and are using that to sign on to Windows Live in WLM..you may also try importing your contacts using
a csv file in the web UI at contacts.live.com (in the web UI click Manage/Import and select the option/application that created
the csv file). Close WLM before importing in the web UI. The web UI only imports csv files(it does not support wab file or browsing
to Windows Contacts in Vista/Win7).
- If import into the web is successful, logoff and close IE....open WLM and use that same Live ID to sign on to Windows Live in
WLM, click Contacts(or Control Shift C)...and perform a full sync(Control F5)...do not interrupt the sync or the contact database
build process.

If you have a larger volume of contacts. Note: The max permitted for a Live ID is 1500(new accounts may be lower) and it may take
some time for WLM to sync and build the local database.

Why do you still use Windows XP? Windows 7 Give your reasons. Do you plan to upgrade ever? If so, when and why? If you use both XP and 7, do you ever plan on ditching XP for good? What will you do when support is dropped to the point where this OS will be problematic with new hardware? Personally I am waiting for Windows 8 to release a second service pack.
