Have you used the Cox webmail interface to make sure that there are
messages in the Inbox on the mail server?
If messages are showing the webmail Inbox, then you may want to record a
POP3 log.
To enable logging in Windows Live Mail select Tools, Options, Advanced,
Maintenance, Troubleshooting. Check the box to enable and click APPLY.
Run the Send/Receive/Synch, then click the box to uncheck and APPLY.
POP3 enables both POP3 and SMTP logging.
The logging information will be appended to WindowsLiveMail.log in the
same location as the WLM Store Folder (click the STORE FOLDER button
above Troubleshooting to see its location).
The WindowsLiveMail.log can grow to be very large. You may want to
rename (or delete) the current log file before starting logging in order
to get a more manageable file size. WLM will automatically create a new
log file when needed if one does not exist.
From the log we can see what the problem may be. The log will show the
mail server you are checking and the account you are checking.
If the response to the STAT command is OK 0 0 that means that the server
says there are no messages available for download.
If WLM is issuing UIDL commands but no RETR commands, then WLM thinks it
has already downloaded those messages.
If WLM is issuing TOP commands but no RETR commands, then you have
messages rules with an action of Do Not download from the server and the
messages are meeting the criteria.
