Asked By myschnucki

Why does this pop up each time I open Windows Live Mail? Is there isomeway to
tell it that it is ok for WLM to open so that I do not have to keep clicking
on it?

Have you toggled on the option for the WLM shortcut(properties/advanced tab) to 'Run as Administrator' in Vista or Windows 7 ?
If so, uncheck it.

I only followed the microsoft.com directions when reinstalling WLM. Changed
nothing.
I do not know where WLM Message Store is to move it in the first place so I
have not moved it.

UAC prompts are indicative of a permission related conflicts(real or not) causing a prompt necessitating an elevation of privilege
either due to file shortcut configuration, folder location without adequate permissions, or registry key permission...
Why you see it and others do not...is probably better resolved in the Vista online forums than here..

The same thing started happening on my system a couple of weeks ago. I have
searched high and low for some setting in my system and AV software that
might cause this and have found none. I have not been fiddling with any of my
security settings either. The exact message I am getting from UAC is...
