received the following this morning..
This Email is from Hotmail Customer Care and we are sending it to every
Hotmail Email User Accounts Owner for safety. we are having congestions due
to the anonymous registration of Hotmail accounts so we are shutting down
some Hotmail accounts and your account was among those to be deleted. We are
sending this email to you so that you can verify and let us know if you still
want to use this account. If you are still interested please confirm your
account by filling the space below.Your User name, password, date of birth
and your country information would be needed to verify your account.

It is spam. Delete it.
Hotmail will never sends you an email asking for your account information.

That is a type of "phish". If you responded, and sent them the information
they requested ("they" not being Hotmail), you just gave then the keys to
your account. It will be taken over, and you will be locked out of it.

I always love reading that piece of garbage..
First a problem with congestion due to anonymous registration requiring account deletion and then account suspension for security
reasons.

Not just spam or phish - it is IDENTITY THEFT, and if you give anyone your
userid and password - you ALLOWED it !! Companies like Hotmail already have
that info - they would never ask you for it . . . . . .
