Windows 7 - I want to "petition" to keep One Care

I like it, and it is actually rescued me multiple times. Knowing its going
away I have tried some of the other brands out there and they are such a
hassle and each presented me with Firewall Drama that is just a pain in the
you know what to resolve.

Microsoft, Please keep OneCare. People whine and complain about Microsoft
products all the time but this is one you did well and it just works.
Please keep it!!

Why? From the firewall and virus part, Essentials and Windows Firewall
do the same.
For the other things, I will wait for Windows 7 pro, until I spend some
thoughts about missing things in OneCare and how to replace them. (e.g.
the backup)

I have 7 RC on my desktop PC and the Windows Firewall is a pain in the a**
to configure and as far as I can tell it does nothing to stop or monitor
outbound traffic. I do have "essentials" installed on that PC and I do
think its good for the antivirus piece.

The backup part seems not completely thought through.

I must wait 20 days ;), but as far as I know Windows 7 have a better
backup part.

I have been using One Care since it came out. it is saved my hide many times!

When my telephone service provider changed my Internet connection after
moving, they offered OneCare with the entire service. So when my regular
subscription ran out in September, it now ported over to my ISP and I am
paying for it with my telephone bill (bundled services). So Windows LOC is
continuing to "tick" -- I have never used the backup utility, though,
because I backup programs and files to CD myself. I use ROXIO Record Now 10
Music Lab as well as SIMPLE BACKUP. I just did one a couple of days ago.
The other program I wish they would keep and update is Outlook Express! I
do not like WLM - not at all!
