Mac: Trash is still not the trash

Hi!

As far as I can remember it was told that with LS the trash folder now
is the system's trash folder. I haven't tried LS on a windows machine by
now. But on Mac this isn't true.

It's still a folder in the Libraries: "Library/Application
Support/Windows Live Sync/trash"

But with a little trick it can be self made:

You just have to do a symlink from the system's trash to the LS trash.
Best it can be done via the console:

First delete the original folder (this can be done via finder)

Then do the symlink:
ln -s .Trash Library/Application\ Support/Windows\ Live\ Sync/trash

I guess it's best to have this done when LS isn't started.

Windows 7 Linux developers MUST consolidate and release a "master" distro Linux powered WiFi hub. Windows 7 How to delete Vista's User \ All Users folder not actually a directory; it's a "symbolic link" or symlink. This is like a soft link in Unix. They existed to some extent in Windows 2000, XP and Server 2003; but most users never encountered versions. On a Vista machine you can see where the symlink points to by using a "dir / a:s" command; eg C: \ Users> So, "C: \ Users \ All Users" is actually a symlink to the "real" file system direectory, C: \ ProgramData. On Vista, you manipulate symlinks using the mklink command. Windows XP has no built-in comands to manipulate (delete, create
