I have a folder sync'd between two computers. It is a "personal folder".
One one computer for every file there is a corresponding file with the
extension ".p2p". On the other computer there is a IE file called a
computers have "p2p" files on them? Only some of the files are being sync'd
and I do not understand why. The computer that has the placeholder files is
the main computer, but from what I have read here, it should have the "p2p"
files on it. Any idea as to what is going on?
Any help appreciated.

The placeholder files only appear until the files actually sync between
computers. If there are placeholder files, then the actual files have not yet
transferred.

Ok, so what causes them to actually sync? it is been about 10 hours and I have
a gazillion .p2p files and no actual sync'd files I can find. The computers
are connected, there is activity checking the sync status happening every few
seconds but all the files still seem to be placeholders. I have got it set for
auto syncing. What else needs to happen?
StephenB replied to Bruce
They should sync automatically. If you are seeing P2P files and no sync
happening, something is wrong.
I suggest removing the PCs from the Live Sync management page
(http://sync.live.com), uninstalling and reinstalling Live Sync and set up the
sync folder(s) again.
