I have an IOmega external hard drive. About a week and a half ago my computer
went crazy after a Micrsoft download I found out ms tried to update my
windows office pro 2000 with a 2007 pro word update and screwed the computer
up cost me $75 to get it fixed. Problem is since then I can not burn a cd r-w
to my drive E it tells me I have to have adminbistrater approval and I am the
only on on this home computer. I have several files stored on omega and in
the past I could put in, for instance, my wifes calendar and update it and
then add it to the existing cd now I can not burn any thing on E unless I use
roxie and roxie is a rom and I need to update certain files with out have to
use a new cd every time. How do I get into administrater area and have it
allow me on everything on my compaq prserio?

Not related to the topic of this group, I would suggest reposting to the
general group of what ever version of Windows your using.

... and when you repost, you might want to give a little more detail. Like
what exactly happened with the update and what the person who fixed the
system did?
Off hand, I cannot think of any Office update problem that would lead
directly to a problem with the CD burner.

So I removed Office 2003, and tried to install 2000, same thing.
