Windows 7 - Some media does not appear in the shared library - In Vista

I have two Vista Ultimate PC's.

PC1 has a library with all of my media on it. The library is shared and
visible as a media library on the network I can connect to the library using
WMP11 from another PC (PC2).

From PC2 I can view, play, create playlists from the shared library.

Problem is that about 1/3 of songs do not appear in the shared library from
PC2 though they are registed and appear in PC1's media library (using WMP11).

The missing songs are MP3's and not protected.

Any thoughts on why they would not show up through shared connections?

It could be several things which are covered in the media player FAQ
on sharing : Mos tof them revolve around read premissions, folder
sharing or monitored folders.

These areas are worth reading and checking up on :
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/faq/sharing.mspx#q20_14
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/faq/sharing.mspx#q20_17
(see 'To grant anonymous permission to access folders on other
computers, all Windows Vista versions')
