Windows 7 - Patch for WP11

I upgraaded to WMP11 recently and I don't really like it.

It makes it more difficult to add new files to liberary beacause it
tries to search the whole drive and you don't get the option of
selecting a specific folder to check.

Does anyone know where I can get a patch to make WMP11 better.

Closest thing you will get to a patch is to uninstall it and revert back to an
older version.

That represents just one of a long list of features that worked great in
Windows Media Player 10 and earlier that were, seemingly, arbitrarily removed
from Windows Media Player 11.

You can use WMP's Tools:Options:Library:Monitor Folders to manage that list.

You simply need to go to Library, Options and tell it what locations to use.
It will dow whatever you.

You do not get the option of not searching folders like 'My Music'.

There is no reason why you need to keep any files in the My Music folder if
you don't want to. If you leave it empty, you can tell the library to search
the specific folders you want to use and the fact that it searches My Music
folder by default won't matter, since it will be empty..
