Windows 7 - Update Album reverts to old information.

I am using MP11 on Windows 7.  I have been updating old MP3 Rips with the
proper album info.  Getting album artwork and mapping tracks.  These are rips
from long ago when you songs would just be Track01, Track02...

I use Find Album info, map the tracks and all looks good. in abou 5 minutes
the Albums reverts back to Track01, Track02.  This is driving nuts!!!!!!  I
am ready to smash my PC.  I hate apple but am really tempted to switch to
evil iTunes.

Are you sure that is WMP 11? On Windows 7, it is supposed to be WMP 12.

Are you able to edit the files' information, such as title and artist,
in Windows Explorer?

Make sure that these really are MP3 files (with the .mp3 extension), and
that they are not set as read-only.
