I am being asked to install this update from time to time eventhough I
installed it many many times. It was told that it was installed successfully.
MSXML 4.0 SP2 Security Update (KB927978)
Installation date: ‎4/‎4/‎2007 23:01
Installation status: Successful
Update type: Important
More information:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927978
But after a while, I am asked to install it again. However, I can find it
from the Installed Updates list. Can anyone help?

Sorry, some typo error, the last sentence should read

Try uninstalling all XML updates, install MSXML 4.0 SP2 Parser and SDX and
then let nature take it is course. We've had this happen on a number of
machines.

It's not listed under the 'installed update list', which is actually
listed as ' Windows XP - Software Updates '.
It is listed separately as
MSXML 4.0 SP2 [KB927978]
Try here for a solution to the issue, Anthony:

Go to the end of the article and try the method that MVP Torgeir Bakken
came up with first. If that doesn't resolve the issue, then go back to
the beginning of the article and follow the steps, please.
