What specifically does that mean?

Hint:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902093

and if something is failing during an install phase
look for its specific diagnostics; e.g. search all changed files
for that code or the decimal equivalent of it (or its lower half.)

Etc.

...

You said "all" of them? Can you reach the WU site?
Otherwise where did you get that list of updates which are failing?
I think that the repair you used is more often used to solve connectivity
problems there...

I have the same problem, but I believe you can cut that list down by using a
program called Bigfix. I've been using it for several years now and it has
helped with many problems. I'm still having a problem with 16 Critical, 10
Software, and 4 Hardware updates myself, but for some reason Bigfix hasn't
got them in their system and at the end of August they are going to
discontinue their free service, so if you decide to try it you will need to
do it soon. I'm not even sure you can download the program anymore, but if
you can it is worth the try.

Hi Robert,

Tx for the response. I can reach the WU site. I have checked the Windows log
file by using the link u provided and found the following error messages in
the log file when I attempt to do the update:

Why do you still use Windows XP? Windows 7 Give your reasons. Do you plan to upgrade ever? If so, when and why? If you use both XP and 7, do you ever plan on ditching XP for good? What will you do when support is dropped to the point where this OS will be problematic with new hardware? Personally I am waiting for Windows 8 to release a second service pack. XP sucked when it first came out until SP1. Even then, I find the moron-babysitting did not work, it had to enabled then disabled to be disabled for real. Sigh. . .
