What exactly happens instead? In case Windows reboots in a loop, you
may want to press the [F8] key and choose "Disable automatic restart
on system failure" in the menu showing up then. In case you'll get a
BlueScreen afterwards, please share the details which are shown there.
You may also want to try if Windows starts in Safe Mode.

I have this problem, I could not start my computer after I installed Service
pack3, however it worked in safe mode, but I had to make a PC recovery on
order to start in normal mode:(
Ottmar Freudenberger replied...
Since you didn't posted the BSOD message, one can only speculate that
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888372 *may* help you in resolving the
issue in case you have a AMD processor running in your machine.

I had the same trouble on my HP with an AMD. the answer is to restart in safe
mode with network support, then run HP Update, restart and all is well.

Okay, I "love" these multiple threads on the same issue, really ;(

Windows XP Professional x64 Only Seeing 3GB RAM? Windows 7 Windows XP Professional x64 and 4GB RAM? Alright, So with all the development and what not that Also, due to software incompatibilities with Vista, I decided the my only real choice was Windows XP Professional x64 for my OS. I ran through the entire install, got all my drivers slapped it in, checked the BIOS, and everything looked good. However, once I got into Windows, it only shows that I have 3GB available: http: / / i60.photobucket.com / albums / h33 / danodemano
