Windows 7 - Outlook progress box

I have Outlook 2003 The Outlook Send Receive Progress box is constantly
popping up. Show Progress all of a sudden has no way of being turned
off.There is no CHECK box in the pull down . Since the most recent UPDATE
this problem has occured. Please advise how I can disable this annoyance

This is not a Windows Update issue. Post to one of the Outlook newsgroups as PA Bear
posted but in the meanwhile turn off the Sent Receipt option in
Outlook\Tools\Options.which is causing this issue
