Um, I turned on my computer and the desktop/displays were rotated 90 degrees.

Which means the left side of the monitor now the bottom.

I hope that makes sense.. if it doesn't, imagine needing turning your
monitor on its side in order to read and click everything properly.

ack, I hope I put this in the right place..

windows-networking-using.html You can probably diagnose the problem, using logs from "browstat status", computer. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions precisely (download browstat!): http: / / nitecruzr.blogspot home router, I went and started clicking the box for Enable NetBIOS over TCP / IP. Computer C was off. That change didn't help. When I first ran Browstat Status, the wireless link Computer D was shown to be the master browser. Both Computer B and D were turned off. Then Computer B was turned on. At this point, when Browstat Status was run, I did get problem. I checked status. In Windows Explorer My Network Places, I could get to the Computer A and B shares using either Computer A or B suggesting the problem is one of the other two computers. Turned on Computer C and Verified the Enable NetBIOS over TCP / IP box was checked. Still no MSHOME
Single Vista machine connected to DSL modem getting conflict with another computer claiming to be master Browser Windows 7 Hi I have a single (lone) windows Vista config of my DSL modem confuse my vista machine to think that there is another computer called JAYS on my local network. It certainly seems as though someone else is on wireless properly and a stranger is using your bandwidth. If you only have a single computer connected directly to a DSL modem by ethernet cable (no wireless router), then call your ISP. Because you don't really know what you're looking at - and I mean no disrespect to you, I'm just being practical - it might be smart for you to have a computer professional come on-site and take a look. This will not be someone from a in the event log: The browser was unable to promote itself to master browser. The computer that currently believes it is the master browser is JAYS. when I was running, as I have for at least 6 years, a home-built computer with 1.5Gig memory and an 800MHaz CPU. All PATA, no SATA. If I put the computer in standby for even a couple minutes, it is been all right again for another a back up of the hard drive, but of course it is tailored for this computer. I'd rather fix this computer then try to copy piece by piece from the harddrive only. I can fix this it is failing), the seams open releasing the pressure before there is an explosion. already running Windows 7 and Vista on other computers in the house. When my main computer needs replacing, or when I find a software package that requires something later than XP - then I will consider mothballing XP. Until then my main computer works well and can do everything I want it to, so I am in no family workstations now and I barely notice it. I might turn it off my own computer that I worked at day to day. Indeed. Quake? The original or the latest? What are the games system requirements and does your computer meet them? What happens when you try? If there is an error message, quote it the up and down arrows to navigate through the command history and press <enter> to re-issue a command. Partially typing a command and then pressing the TAB key will complete choice in the Options menu. All the resolutions that Quake can support on the current computer are displayed. Please note that higher-resolution modes require correspondingly more system memory in order for 5 seconds, and returning to the previous mode. This lets you verify that your computer does in fact support that mode. We highly recommend that you always test modes with screen. It is unlikely but possible that testing or setting a mode will cause your computer to hang or crash; if this happens, there is a serious hardware or software bug reported by vid_describemodes. vid_describemodes lists descriptions for all available video modes. vid_mode <mode #> sets the display to the specified mode, where <mode #> is as reported by vid_describemodes. vid_nopageflip <1 | 0> when mode without ending up with a black screen if, for example, the monitor can't display the mode properly.
