Bluetooth headset and Broadcom drivers

I recently installed Vista Ultimate x64 and connected my Zonet Bluetooth USB
dongle. Windows detected the dongle as a BCM2035 Bluetooth radio. I could
pair my Blueant X3 headset but Windows would then ask me to install the
driver disk, which of course I didn't have.
Later I found out that you need the drivers installed to get the correct
Bluetooth profiles installed. I found the Broadcom Bluetooth drivers from the
company website and installed them. My headset is now correctly detected as a
headset and I can see it in the Bluetooth control panel in the Audio tab. If
I click the headset and click the Connect button I get a popup that says this:
BtwApplExt
The parameter is incorrect
Has anyone ever seen this problem before? Is there anything else I can try
to get this headset to work?

Ho hum, I really dislike posters from EggHead Cafe who for some reason
cannot give full details of their problem.
Same problem as WHAT?
Unless you treat each posting as individual and give full details, you
cannot expect a reasonable answer.
