Windows 7 - Windows XP Media Center verus Windows Vista Premium Home Edition

I upgraded from Windows XP Media Center Edition to Windows Vista Premium Home
Edition – which still has the functionality of Media Center. Unfortunately,
some products (e.g. m-audio midi controllers) were never compatible with
Media Center.

So, as companies develop Vista drivers will compatibility with Media Center
functions (albeit Vista Premium Home Edition) still be an issue?

Windows Media Centre useless without remote? Windows 7 Vista Home Premium comes with this software and I have a video card that works with a remote. Surely there must be some way to use this program without a remote? WMC seems like an easy and cheap way to have a PVR without extra cost, but be stuck without a specialized device. Thanks. I am working on an application that changes value settings in the registry. In Windows XP I could open Regedit, select the key that had the values of interest and hit F5 to view changes. It appears that in Windows Vista that does not work. In order to see changes I have to close Regedit and refresh properly or do I need a different program and if so which one? I am running Vista Ultimate and the Windows Media Center that came with the installation. Two weeks ago I was finally able to set up my new TV tuner card with WMC and the guide downloaded just fine. At the end of the first week, I could have tried everything on the internet I could find from resyncing my computer clock, closing WMC and reopening it, and just restarting Windows. No solution has worked and I can not Microsoft.Ehome.Epg.EhepgdatSingleton.RunImp (1) ThreadPoolWaitCallback.WaitCallb (1) ThreadPoolWaitcallback.PerformWa (1) Windows Media (1) Vista (1) XP (1) ContextCallback (1) ExecutionCon (1) What happens if you go through the Guide
