Windows 7 - Driver problem

I have been having some issues with what I think is my driver. The info from
the driver is:
Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\raspptp.sys (6.0.6001.18000, 61.50 KB
(62,976 bytes), 5/9/2009 5:41 PM)
I experience significant lag spikes while playing any online games or
streaming any media via the internet. I will be fine for a few minutes, then
lag or significantly buffer for a few, then back to normal. Any thoughts?

DL replied to Coach Jon
Its an MS Win file, not a driver
Pavel A. replied to Coach Jon
Drivers indeed can cause these delays, but why do you think that raspptp is
the culprit?

Rick Rogers replied to DL
Actually, it is a networking driver file involved with the peer to peer
tunneling protocol. Not all driver files are .inf's.

It is trying to access protected memory prompt to detect and repair any corrupted system files. - - Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http: / / mvp.support.microsoft.com / Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http: / / rick-mvp.blogspot.com Hi Rick, Thanks for VPN description: I have a problem when connecting to VPN i get the following error:- Raspptp.sys page fault in non paged area stop 0x00000050 address 8ba07b30 base at 8ba

Windows installer 3.1 & IE7 fails to install Windows 7 3 weeks ago I upgraded my motherboard, processor, RAM & display card. Since I can't clean install a new windows XP cause my old system has all needed programs & settings to my needs (very hard I used to option of repair install, inserted the XP CD that gave me "upgrading windows", & all went OK, new drivers installed, removed old ones. Funny thing is my IE7 is goes till the point where registry editing starts & stops installation & rolls back changes to IE6 & windows restarts. . Same when I try to update Windows installer to 3.1, it stops installation at the point or registry changing & rolls back account, how come? Why both installation stops at the registery editing point?
