Windows 7 - Windows failed to start. Compbatt.sys

I have tried to repair my computer as suggested in step three and it says it
can't be repaired. I did an upgrade from XP to Vista Ultimate when it first
came out. BIG MISTAKE!.
Now tonight I cannot get my computer to start up. Is it time for a Mac. I
have just about had enough!. I trusted MSFT and did Vista and Office 2007
and my one year old computer slowed down to a crawl. Maybe this crash is the
best of the best. My wife has been on my butt to shelve MSFT for Apple for a
couple of years. Maybe I should follow the professionals.
Anyone got a fix or is it just time to pony up some dollars and get a system
that works?
Tom

Step three of what trouble shooting sequence?
Compbatt.sys is a battery driver so you must be using a laptop (details in
your posts are important).
You may have a hardware problem. Have you spoken to the computer
manufacturer?
If you give a "complete" detail of exactly what problems you are
experiencing someone may be able to assist you.
BTW: If Apple computers did not also have problems there would be many
independent Apple technicians out of work! I turn away many requests because
I don't know squat about Apple computers.
