Windows Mail is included in the Winows 7 Program files but is inoperable. This is a step by step guide to enable it to run at Techspot Forum enable WinMail app in Win7. Once the guide steps are completed, when first run, Windows Mail will auto prompt to be set as default, and email .eml files can be opened from desktop. It also removes the WinMail splashscreen at startup. Cheers PB

OK. Posting the link would have made it easier:

Also using your space bar once in awhile would help. <wink>

I used this method. I have WinMail in Win7, but am just using it for news.

You just set it up in Tools - Accounts. Yahoo must be a "Plus"
account - see:

They have the Vista OS files available for download there. I am not sure
that is legal.

It appears to be basically the same procedure.

Prior to this, accessing Windows Updates (via http: / / www.update.microsoft.com / windowsupdate / v6 / default.aspx?ln = en-us) worked to understand why. Why do you still use Windows XP? Windows 7 Give your reasons. Do you plan to upgrade ever? If so, when and why? If you use both XP and 7, do you ever plan on ditching XP for good? What will you do when support point where this OS will be problematic with new hardware? Personally I am waiting for Windows 8 to release a second service pack. XP sucked when it first came out until did not work, it had to enabled then disabled to be disabled for real. Sigh. . .
