Windows 7 - i CANT UPLOAD ANY PHOTOS ONTO WEBSITES - IS THIS A VISTA PROBLEM?

Asked By PJ on 29-Feb-08 04:16 PM
I've just got a new computer after AOL danmaged my previous one beyond
reasonable repair. I'm now stuck with Vista and have discovered that I can't
upload any of my photos. I either get a message saying the picture is too big
(even though it isn't) or the website just crashes. Is this a vista problem?
if so what can I do??!!

I highly doubt it is a Vista issue.... but you provide such little
information that it is impossible to diagnose further.

All I can add is that when I click on 'upload picture' buttons on the 2
websites I use regularly, I get a message saying the pictures are too big
(even if I edit them and make them tiny) on 1 site and the other site just
crashes. I am using a camera I always use and am uploading pics Ive used
elsewhere in the past. The only thing that's changed is using Vista and
having problem with my AOL connection. Surely it must be one of those 2
causing the problem?

Right-click on the IE shortcut icon and select the Start without add-ons
option. You can then manage which add-ons are enabled, in Tools | Manage
Add-ons, after you've started IE7. If this solves your problem, enable
add-ons one at a time, testing as you go, until you find the culprit.
