Can ping, but ...

... can't see the XP computer on my lan.
I have Vista Ultimate with a router WRT54GS and have no problem with the
internet.

When I run ipconfig /all I get NetBIOS over TCP/IP = Disabled.

How do I enable that?

Perhaps your Vista box thinks your network is "public", in which case
it won't share or look for other computers on that network. Check out
config panel -> networking center, and set the network to Private if
possible.

As far as I know, NetBIOS is an obsolete protocol that you don't need
to talk to Windows XP.
