Hi all

Does anyone know of a simple way to unmount a USB drive if you do not have
access to the explorer shell.

Our shell application is written in VS2008

Cheers

Scott

You might look into the usb disk ejector tool from
http://quick.mixnmojo.com/usb-disk-ejector - it is licensed under
GPLv2, and the source is available at
http://code.google.com/p/usbdiskejector/source/checkout

Hiya

Erm, GPL is not much good for an embedded system that we want to sell :-)

I will admit I am not particularly well-versed in GPL licensing, but
could not you include the utility with your system (and include source
for it, etc.) and call it from within your shell? AFAIK there is no
restriction on selling something based on the GPL or including
something GPL licensed in something you sell, you just have to provide
source and modifications have to be released under the GPL as well.

OK, flame retardant suit on, feel free to bar-b-q me whilst letting me
know how wrong I am... :-)
