Windows 7 - Volume doesn't show up on monitor

The volume used to show up on my monitor when I would adjust it
(little green lines going up/down). However, they no longer show up.
I have to double click on the speaker icon in the task bar to see my
volume level.
How do I make it where I can see the volume adjustment on the monitor
once more?
Thanks so much. :-)

Those "little green lines" for the volume tend to be part of the
enhanced keyboard drivers for most "multi-media" keyboards. They
should show up when you use the keyboard's own volume control buttons.

I am using the keyboard's volume control, but nothing is showing up.
This is the same keyboard I have been using for quite some time and I
have not made any changes that I am aware of. The volume just quit
showing up out of the blue.

To have these bars, you may need to install the correct "enhanced"
drivers for the keyboard.

Thanks, I will look into that and see if my hubby can do that for me. I
do not mess around with drivers. :-)
After a Restart, a single-click on one of my desktop icons will highlight that icon, but it will also highlight the bottom-rightmost (BR) icon. This was discovered because the typical double-click was causing execution of the BR icon, and not the selected one. If I moved the BR icon up higher on the desktop and tried again, the new BR icon would behave the same way. This happens regardless of which icon I select. It seems that the problem goes away as soon as I successfully call Toshiba (1) I just noticed that after a restart and before any clicking, the BR icon shows up highlighted. Might want to find out what the BR Icon is attached to. Malware or a program that you installed? That would be the first
Notification tray internet connection icon missing Windows 7 Has anyone been able to restore the internet connection icon to the notification tray after using CCeaner to deleate the tray cache? I have tried net / network / XP_Net_properties.jpg Jack (MS, MVP-Networking). I do not have an internet connection icon in my network connections. The title shows "LAN or High Speed Internet", but there is no icon for "High Speed Internet". I have one for 1394 connection to the printer and I can toggle that icon on and off. I have one my wireless network and I can toggle that one also. And I have local area icon for my NIC which is disabled but if I plug in cable to the router, I can see that icon in the notification tray also. It shows the connection to be disabled, which it is not found a fix so far. I am thinking that I may not have an icon for internet connection in the PastIconStreams key in the registry, but I cannot find how
I want Network icon in the system tray to disappear when not connected -> how? Windows 7 , how?" / > I have got XP installed on a motherboard with 2 ethernet ports. There is an icon in the system tray for each one. When either of them (or both of them is not connected to the network, their respective icon is shown with a red X across it. What I want is -> to NOT see the icon corresponding to the disconnected port. I want it to completely disappear. To not be present in the system tray. So if both of them are not connected, then NO ethernet icon shows up in the tray. If one of them is connected, then I will see it is icon in the tray (without the red X). There seem to be only two settings that govern the behavior of the network tray-icon: - Show icon in notification area when connected - Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity
