Windows 7 - how do i restore factory settings??

Asked By Jacki on 09-Jun-07 02:07 PM
I have had my computer since September, and it was all going fine then all of
a sudden it wouldn't load. When I put my start up disk in it loaded again the
only problem now is i don't have any sound at all on my computer, I also
can't watch DVD's as I did before.

Please help me....

Hi Jackie,

What make and model system is it?

Some manufactures ship a disk with additional driver and application, check
to see if you have one. If not, go to the manufactures web site and search
of available drives for the make and model system in question and install
the sound driver and the DVD viewing software application.

Hi,

Did the sound card driver install completely?

And what type of reinstall did you preform the first time?

i reinstalled windows xp the first time and yes i think it fully installed it
said all files extracted.

Hi,

Once all the files are extracted, the install should begin. If not, check
the location of the extracted files and look for a setup file and double
click on it to start the install.
