Windows 7 - Problem with pagefile.sys

Asked By Menno Hershberger on 03-Jan-12 02:03 AM
I just crossposted this to two groups and it did not show up either place.
So here I go again!
I have an HP here with a 60 gig drive, 5 of which has been partitioned as a
restore drive, Drive D. Despite my attempts to make the pagefile go on
Drive C, it always goes on Drive D. It is causing "Drive Full" errors to
pop up randomly. There is PLENTY of room on Drive C for the pagefile. What
do I have to do to make it go there?

I have posted my screenshot(s) at

Note: My reply submitted only to the microsoft.public.windowsxp.general
newsgroup. I omitted the alt.comp.hardware newsgroup in my reply. This
is an OS issue, not a hardware issue. Don't shotgun a post to multiple
off-topic newsgroups hoping to garner a larger audience.

You waited all of 11 minutes to see if your prior post appeared. For
most NNTP servers, that would be more than a sufficient wait time but
not if they are busy, overloaded, unresponsive, or undoing maintenance.
You are posting via Giganews who should have a quick submission time but
it is possible they were doing maintenance at the time you posted. I am
assuming your newsreader did not get an error when submitting its post.

There is also the possiblity that the database for your newsreader
(Xnews) is corrupted. In other newsreaders and probably for Xnews,
there is the option to unsubscribed from a newsgroup and then
resubscribe (although you may have to delete the individual database, if
any, for a particular newsgroup before resubscribing). Alternatively,
you may be able to look at the properties of the newsgroup and Reset it
so all articles look new and will get retrieved again. The folks over
in the news.software.newsreaders newsgroup would be better to inquire
about problems with Xnews if that is where the fault lies.

See my reply to your prior same post. I will not be duplicating my
response to your other repeated same posts.

OK. You've made your point. I have replied to your reply to my "prior
same post".

I repeated the posts because they did not seem to be showing up. And then
they did. God please forgive me for my sins. You too please! :-)
